Peter Buck from R.E.M. has announced that he will release his second solo album, I Am Back To Blow Your Mind Once Again, next week on vinyl only.  Also, Buck joins Mike Mills, Steve Wynn, Scott McCaughey, and Linda Pitman in a new band called the Baseball Project. They will release their third album, called 3rd, on March 25th.

Dates and lineup info for Slingshot Festival in Athens, GA have been announced!

Ticket Info: Two-day experience costs just $25, including Tinariwen (for those buying early-bird passes now).

After the early-bird special ends, day passes will be available for $20, two-day passes for $35, and single entrance to the non-headlining venues will be $10.

Passes also include a 20% discount at many of Athens’ best downtown eateries! Supplies of early bird passes are limited, and can be reserved here.

Shaky Knees Music Fest has finally revealed their lineup, and I might be having a heart attack – this year is going to be the bomb.

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale tomorrow, January 16th.  In order to receive the pre-sale password, you must be signed up to the Shaky Knees mailing list. Advance tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, January 17th.  Three-day passes will cost $150, while the VIP three-day will only be $475.  That’s an amazing price that includes access to special lounges and viewing areas close to the stages, private restrooms, private bars, complimentary food and beer & cash liquor bars (must be 21+ to enjoy the free beer). When these advance tickets are sold out, three-day will cost $169 and VIP three-day passes will cost $475.  These passes will sell out quickly, so don’t delay.

It’s back! The sophomore year of Shaky Knees Music Fest is under way!  Not only have they relocated to Atlantic Station, but they have also expanded — damn straight — this festival is now three days long.

Early bird tickets are currently on sale.  Three-Day passes are currently $99, and VIP three-Day passes are currently $350.  VIP includes access to viewing areas and lounge, complimentary food and beverage, and more.

Kevin Morby’s debut album, Harlem River, is now available for streaming one week before its official release. He will play a free, all ages album release show this Saturday in LA at Permanent Records.
