Work With Us

Vinyl Mag is accepting applications for Music Writers, Social Media Managers, and Photographers. We are always excited to bring in new members to the team. If you’re interested, keep reading!

Before applying, please bear in mind that Vinyl Mag is an unpaid gig. We’d love to pay you, but we make no profit and work on a purely volunteer basis. We do promise the occasional free show though ;).

Music Writers

Music Writers will generally be expected to write 1-3 pieces a month on their chosen topics. Applications for Music Writers will be accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, please send the following to our Editor in Chief at buketurgen@gmail.com :

  1. Two writing samples, one of which must be related strictly to music (e.g. music review, artist spotlight, music business news, etc.). The second one can be whatever you want.
  2. Your pitch for a piece you want to write for Vinyl Mag
  3. A little bit about yourself, including your favorite genres of music

Social Media Managers

Vinyl Mag is looking for help running our social media, currently focusing chiefly on Instagram. We are looking for someone savvy with graphics, content creation, and audience outreach. We expect weekly posts that match the overall aesthetic of Vinyl Mag, but otherwise, you will be given a lot of creative control to work alongside other Social Media Managers as you wish.

To apply, please send the following to our Editor in Chief at buketurgen@gmail.com :

  1. Example works
  2. Ideas you have for Vinyl Mag
  3. A little bit about yourself, including your favorite genres of music

Photographer

Applications for photographers will be accepted on a rolling basis. Photographers will be tasked with need-be cases, but we will also consider pitches from you to submit photographs to be published. To apply, please send a portfolio containing sample photography and a little bit about yourself, including your favorite genres of music, to our Editor in Chief at buketurgen@gmail.com.
