Listen: CHVRCHES: “Dead Air”

Posted on November 5, 2014November 6, 2014 by Vinyl Mag

Electronica group CHVRCHES has released a new single that will be included on the soundtrack for the upcoming, destined-to-be blockbuster “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1.”

The song, titled “Dead Air,” is a melodic and peaceful tune that will truly capture the essence of Katniss for the new film. CHVRCHES joins other hit artists including Tove Lo, Tinashe and  Charli XCX on the soundtrack.

The soundtrack for the movie is being curated by Lorde, who also has her own single, “Yellow Flicker Beat,” on the album as well (it’s seriously incredible).

Back to the new CHVRCHES song, however.  The track is available for download on iTunes right now, with the soundtrack available for pre-order. The soundtrack will be released Nov. 17, days before the movie comes out Nov. 21.
